Why does this Role exist
Reporting to Global Head of Operations, the job holder will lead Critical Facilities teams and manage all our data centers in APAC regions in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner. This position will be accountable for meeting customer SLA’s, advancing Platform priorities and increasing revenue and margin through effective application of company resources. He will lead fiscal (facility budget) responsibility and due diligence across all financial activities throughout their organization’s headcount, capital and expense purview, assesses data to improve processes and operational efficiencies and facilitates effective external and internal customer communication and coordination.

What would you expected to do
- Oversee all aspects of the data center’s critical physical infrastructure. Maintain high availability and performance while ensuring that all work performed within the site is done to high quality without impact to internal/external customers and maintain service level agreements.
- Work Closely with the leadership team to ensure all out operations are standardized across site.
- Work closely with the leadership team to ensure PUE optimization programs are planned and executed to improve efficiency.
- Manage teams of 24×7 engineers and technicians.
- Oversee operation and management of routine and emergency services on a variety of critical systems such as: switchgear, generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, chillers, cooling towers, computer room air handlers, building monitoring systems, etc.
- Engage in improvement projects, often requiring reaching out to a variety of internal and external support teams and drive them from conception to completion.
- Act as an escalation point for Data Center facilities related issues / failures including responding to out-of-hours emergency calls.
- Overall site capacity management.
- Participates as part of the new facility/infrastructure design team.
- Incident Management including but not limited to communicating and coordinating activities and on-site staff during a complex customer-impacting incidents, drive root cause analysis and provide a clear direction and, drives approval for incident resolution.
- Ensure all safety procedures are adhered to while performing work.
Educational Qualifications and Experience needed for this Job
Bachelor’s degree or above in Engineering or related field.
What Really Catches our eye
- 10+ years in directly managing a data center or multiple data centers.
- Engineering background with focus on MEP systems.
- Managing full life cycle of Data Centre assets and have experience working with Engineering teams to replace/ refurbish Old Data Centre Assets within a ‘Live’ Data Centre environment.
- Executive mentality and EQ with ability to collaborate with various types of people- DC techs to C-level customers and everyone in between.

- Exposure to Automation / IOT deployment or Smart Data Centre integration experience a plus.
