- Big Data Exchange (BDx) Announces Addition to BDx Leadership Team
HONG KONG, October 25, 2020 – In the midst of an aggressive expansion pattern, Big Data Exchange (BDx), a pan-Asian data center cluster, is also growing its leadership team. The company recently appointed Jeremy Yew as its new Senior Vice President of Data Center Facilities & Operations. In his new role, Yew will strategically lead and execute operations for BDx’s data centers across Asia.
“Since the launch of BDx, it’s been considered one of the top companies in the region to watch because of how quickly it’s growing,” comments Yew. “I’m honored to have been given the opportunity to expand my role at BDx and become a critical part of the value chain to meet the needs of our customers. Adaptability is key, and being a fast-growing company coupled with trust from the management allows us to be very accommodating towards customer demands.”
Yew began his tenure at BDx in April as its Global Head of Critical Facilities. He brings more than 15 years of experience across various sectors to the company, including operations for mission critical data centers, engineering for critical infrastructure, project management and building operations. Yew has extensive experience managing data centers at the strategic, tactical and operational level in the APAC region.
“As one of the fastest growing data center companies in the Asia Pacific region, we need a knowledgeable person who can drive innovative solutions while maintaining the exceptional quality of service our customers count on,” says Braham Singh, CEO for BDx. “Jeremy is a driver. His vast experience in the industry and specific knowledge of the Asia Pacific region, paired with his performance during his time at BDx, will be an asset to customers and the BDx team in general.”
BDx was founded in 2019 and has quickly grown its portfolio of data centers. The company operates two facilities in Hong Kong, HKG1 and HKG2, one in Guangzhou, China, and one in Singapore, which was acquired earlier this year. BDx’s first facility built from the ground up is set to open end of this year in Nanjing, China. A second facility in Nanjing is slated to open in early 2022. Yew has been instrumental in sourcing and deploying strategies and equipment that will serve national and international customers who will use the Nanjing facility to connect to customers.
